Application for International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship at HEU 2025

为满足国际社会对日益增长的中文教育类人才的需求，促进世界各国中文教育的发展，助力国际中文教育人才的成长，教育部中外语言交流合作中心设立国际中文教师奖学金，聚焦培养合格的海外中文教师。哈尔滨工程大学作为接收院校之一，欢迎世界各国中文爱好者申请奖学金来我校学习和进修国际中文教育及相关专业。

In order to meet the growing demand of the international community for Chinese language education professionals, promote the development of Chinese language education in various countries around the world, and support the growth of international Chinese language education talents, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education has established the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship, focusing on cultivating qualified overseas Chinese language teachers. As one of the receiving institutions, Harbin Engineering University welcomes Chinese language enthusiasts from all over the world to apply for the scholarship to study and pursue advanced studies in international Chinese language education and related majors at our university. Founded in 1953, Harbin Engineering University is a national key university, one of the first batch of universities under the key construction of the "Project 211" and a university under the "Double First-Class" initiative. The university is the entrusted training institution for the "Chinese Government Atomic Energy Scholarship" program, the "Chinese Government Marine Scholarship" program, and the "Marie Curie Scholarship" program, and has been awarded the title of "Advanced Collective in Studying in China" by the China Association of Higher Education. The Confucius Institute of the university has won the title of "Advanced Confucius Institute" globally. Currently, the university offers a Master's degree program in International Chinese Language Education and an undergraduate major in Chinese Language and Literature, with a strong faculty. Over the years, it has cultivated numerous outstanding international students who are passionate about the cause of international Chinese language education. 申请条件

ELIGIBILITY

1.非中国籍人士。

Be a non-Chinese citizen;

2.对华友好，无违法犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律、 法规和学校的规章制度。

Be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the Host Institution;

3.身心健康，品学兼优。

Be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing;

4.有志于从事汉语教育、教学及相关工作。

Be interested in Chinese language teaching and related work;

5.年龄为16-35周岁（统一以2025年9月1日计）。在职汉语教师放宽至45周岁，本科奖学金申请者一般不超过25周岁。

Be aged between 16 and 35 years on September 1, 2025. The maximum age limit for in-service Chinese language teachers may be extended to 45, but those who apply for a scholarship for a Bachelor's degree shall be younger than 25 under most circumstances.

Scholarship Categories and Application Requirements

备注Remark：

一学期研修项目和一学年研修项目原则上不录取3年内享受过同类奖学金的申请者。

In principle, applicants who have received a similar scholarship within three years are not eligible for the One-Semester Study Program or One-Year Study Program.

资助内容Scholarship Coverage

国际中文教师奖学金资助内容包括：学费、住宿费、生活费(四周奖学金生除外)、综合医疗保险费。其中，生活费标准为：本科生、一学年和一学期研修生人民币2500元/月；国际中文教育专业硕士生为人民币3000元/月。

The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance (excluding four-week study program students) and comprehensive medical insurance. The monthly allowance for undergraduates, one-year study program students and one-semester study program students is RMB 2,500 per person; that for master's students in International Chinese Language Education is RMB 3000 per person.

注：奖学金生按接收院校录取通知书规定的时间入学报到， 否则取消奖学金资格。

当月 15 日（含 15 日）前到校注册者， 当月发放全额生活费；15 日以后注册者，当月发放半月生活费。

奖学金生在学期间（不含寒暑假）因个人原因离开中国 时间超过 15 天者，停发离华期间生活费。

Note: Scholarship recipients must register with the university within the period stipulated in the Letter of Admission. Otherwise, the scholarship will be revoked. Students registered before the 15th (inclusive) of the month are entitled to the full allowance of that month, while those who are registered after the 15th are entitled to half of the amount. If a scholarship recipient leaves China for more than 15 days for personal reasons during the study period (excluding summer and winter vacations), the living allowance during the period of absence from China will be suspended.

申请流程Application Process

1. 申请人在网上申请前须联系、确定推荐机构，推荐机构类型有：

Applicants have to contact the recommending institutions before submitting application online as follows:

1)孔子学院或独立设置的孔子课堂

Confucius Institutes or independent Confucius Classrooms

2)具有奖学金推荐权的汉语水平考试（HSK）考点

HSK Test Hosting Organization Authorized for Scholarship Recommendation

3) 中国驻外使（领）馆 Chinese Embassies（Consulates）

4)国外相关教育机构、高校中文师范专业/中文院系

Chinese language teaching major / Chinese Department of relevant foreign educational institutions and universities

5) 国外有关中文教学行业组织 Overseas organizations related to Chinese language teaching industry

2.网上申请 Online Application

(1)登录哈尔滨工程大学国际学生管理服务平台（issp.hrbeu.edu.cn）提交申请并支付报名费。

Log in to the International Student Management and Service Platform of Harbin Engineering University (issp.hrbeu.edu.cn) to submit the application and pay the application fee.

(2)申请人于2025年2月20日起，登陆国际中文教师奖学金网站(http://www.chinese.cn)，

注册个人账号，在线填写、提交申请表。

Online registration will be available from February 20, 2025 on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website (http://www.chinese.cn), set up an individual account, submit application materials online.

3.参加线上面试，关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果。

申请人在申请过程中如需“推荐机构负责人的推荐信”，请与我校联系。

Participate in an online interview, pay attention to the application process, audit opinion and scholarship evaluation results. Applicants who need the recommendation letter during the process shall reach out to us by using contact information at the end of this guide.

4. 被录取的学生须严格按照录取通知书规定的报到时间，携带申请材料原件到哈尔滨工程大学办理注册、入学手续。超过规定入学时间两周以上未办理入学注册手续者，视为自动放弃入学资格。

The admitted students must, in strict accordance with the registration time specified in the admission notice, bring the original application materials to Harbin Engineering University to complete the registration and enrollment procedures. Those who fail to complete the enrollment registration procedures more than two weeks beyond the specified enrollment time will be regarded as having automatically waived their admission qualifications.

5. 申请开始时间：2025年2月20日

Online registration will be available from February 20, 2025

7月入学

学生申请截止日期为4月15日，推荐机构、接收院校审核截止日期为4月25日；

For programs commencing in July, applicants must complete their applications by April 15, and Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions must complete the review by April 25.

9月入学

学生申请截止日期为5月15日，推荐机构、接收院校审核截止日期为5月25日；

For programs commencing in September, applicants must complete their applications by May 15, and Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions must complete the review by May 25.

12月入学

学生申请截止日期为9月15日，推荐机构、接收院校审核截止日期为9月25日；

For programs commencing in December, applicants must complete their applications by September 15, and Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions must complete the review by September 25.

2026年3月入学

学生申请截止日期为10月31日，推荐机构、接收院校审核截止日期为11月10日。

For programs commencing in March 2026, applicants must complete their applications by October 31, and Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions must complete the review by November 10.

材料清单Application Documents

1.护照照片页扫描件，未满18周岁的申请者，须提交在华法定监护人署名的委托证明文件。

A scanned copy of the passport photo page; Applicants under 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.

2.HSK、HSKK（口语）成绩报告（有效期两年）。

A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK/HSKK tests (within the two-year validity).

3.最高学历证明（毕业预期证明）,在校学习成绩单。

A certificate of the highest diploma (or proof of expected graduation) and an official transcript;

4.推荐机构负责人的推荐信。

A reference letter by the head of the Recommending Institution.

5.在职汉语教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。

In-service Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment and a reference letter from the employer.

6.国际中文教育硕士须提供两名副教授以上职称导师的推荐信。提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议者优先资助。

Applicants of the Scholarship for a Master's Degree in International Chinese Language Education are required to provide two reference letters from professors or associate professors. Priority will be given to applicants who may provide an employment contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China.

关于在职教师汉语桥获奖者

POLICIES REGARDING IN-SERVICE CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS AND CHINESE BRIDGE WINNERS

1.在职中文教师申请各类奖学金，可提供就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信，免提交汉语水平考试（HSK）证书。

In-service Chinese language teachers who apply for various scholarships may provide employment certificates and recommendation letters issued by their employers, and are not required to submit HSK certificates.

2.汉语桥获奖者 在各类汉语桥比赛中获得 “国际中文教师奖学金证书”者，登录国际中文教师奖学金网站，凭奖学金证书向目标接收院校提交申请材料。 如有问题，请咨询 chinesebridge@chinese.cn。

Applicants who have received the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificate during Chinese Bridge competitions may submit their application documents along with their scholarship certificates to the Host Institutions directly at the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website. 5.入学体检不合格、中途退学、未经许可不按时报到、休学等情况，取消奖学金资格。

Students who fail to pass the pre-enrollment medical examination, withdraw from school before completing the program, fail to register at the university without prior permission, or suspend their studies will be disqualified for the scholarship.
